AFS is a distributed filesystem which offers a client-server architecture, transparent data migration abilities, scalability, a single namespace, and integrated ancillary subsystems. The Demand Attach fileserver will no longer crash due to accesses during volume cloning. Support was added for updates to OpenSolaris. Linux RPM packaging materials were updated for the 1.5 release series and 2.4 kernels. This release is the recommended production release for all Microsoft Windows environments.
