iText is a library that contains classes to generate documents in the Portable Document Format (PDF), XML, HTML, and RTF. It can also parse XML documents and convert them into any of these formats. Pages of existing PDF files can be imported and copied to new PDF documents.

Changes:
Support was added for UTF32 (TrueType Fonts), for
locked OCG, and for OCG in PdfStamper (previously
only available in PdfWriter). Content was added to
existing layers and new layers were added.
Vertical position marks and tab Chunks were
introduced. Support for hyphenation was added in
HtmlWorker, Phrase, and subclasses (previously
only in Chunk).
