Stella is a freely distributed multi-platform Atari 2600 VCS emulator originally developed for Linux by Bradford W. Mott. Since its original release several people have joined the development team to port Stella to other operating systems such as DOS, OS/2, MacOS, Unix, and Windows 95 & NT.

This release adds support for the AtariVox, SaveKey, CX-22, CX-80, and AmigaMouse controllers. There are many fixes to the debugger, including a new RIOT tab. An OpenGL fullscreen scaling issue on 4:3 monitors has been fixed. There are several fixes for TIA graphical glitches. Joystick deadzone setting has been added.
