PrinterSetup is a flexible printer setup system. It is tailored to institutions with more than 20 deployed printers. It is designed to work with CUPS on Mac OS X. PrinterSetup is a component of PrintingWorks, a print accounting solution. There is limited documentation. Apple package deployment requires Mac OS X 10.3 or later, and is untested on earlier versions. Apple package development requires Mac OS X 10.5 or later and Xcode 3.0 or later. License: GNU General Public License (GPL) Changes: The ability to specify various queue prefixes from the command line was added. A link generation droplet was added. This means you no longer need to use the terminal to create these links. Various issues were fixed. An option was added for enabling the new temporary subsystem, designed for post printer processing. An option to remove any disabled printers which also have a matching queue name prefix was added. Support for the management of printers using Apple package deployment was improved.
