Gives you access to your Mac’s files from anywhere on the internet, and even from your iPhone.
Once FarFinder is installed on your Mac you can sit down at any web browser, anywhere on the internet and have instant access to your files. Even better, FarFinder includes an iPhone interface so you can browse your files from absolutely anywhere.
It’s simple - just enter an easy-to-remember URL like this:
findme.flyingmac.com/joebloggs
then enter your Mac’s user name and password. Now you can browse through your files with an interface that looks just like your Mac’s Finder, but right in your browser.
When you find a file or folder you want, click the download button and it’s yours. Or you can email files to people directly from your Mac without downloading them at all.
FarFinder includes an automatic slideshow feature so you can browse through photos you haven’t even put on the web yet!
You can access your files from any computer, not just a Mac, and you can do it easily because all you need is a browser. This means that for simple remote file access, it’s a convenient alternative to Apple’s Back To My Mac, or to FTP.
