CAELinux is a live DVD Linux distribution
dedicated to computer aided engineering and
finite element analysis. Based on PcLinuxOs, it
features a full software solution for
professional 3D FE analysis from CAD
geometry. It includes the Salome 3D pre/post
processor, Code_Aster non-linear/multi-
physics FE solver, GMSH 3D pre/post
processor, GNU Octave, Scilab, and more.

This new release includes the latest updates from PCLinuxOs, including a new Kernel (2.6.22.17) and utilities for installing ATI/Nvidia 3D drivers. The Salome-Meca package was upgraded to 2008.1 version including Salome 3.2.9 and Aster 9.2. The CFD solver Code-Saturne 1.3.1 and a simple CFD wizard application have been added. The following packages were upgraded: Elmer 5.4, GMSH, Gerris, Impact, Octave, Koctave, and many more.
