Download Center Lite enables a Web site owner to
offer file downloads of any file type on the Web
site. The script has two potential uses. First,
you can use it if you want to hide the real path
to the download folder on your Web server and
prevent direct access to the download folder.
Second, you can make sure that your visitors are
prompted by their browser to save the file instead
of viewing within the browser or an external
application. The script can also log and count the
downloads.
