iText is a library that contains classes to generate documents in the Portable Document Format (PDF), XML, HTML, and RTF. It can also parse XML documents and convert them into any of these formats. Pages of existing PDF files can be imported and copied to new PDF documents.

This release is into different jars: iText.jar, which is the core library (PDF), iText-rtf.jar (RTF), and iText-rups.jar (a PDF tool). The old RtfWriter class was removed from the RTF packages in favor of RtfWriter2. iText RTF now has plenty of new functionality for parsing RTF files.
