awesome is a window manager for X. It manages windows in several layout modes, such as tiled or floating. Each layout can be applied dynamically. Windows can be grouped by tags, and each window can be tagged with one or multiple tags, and each tag can have its own layout. License: GNU General Public License (GPL) Changes: This release no longer dies on bad config files. A focus history and spiral and dwindle layouts have been added. This release widget-izes the status bar and adds partial EWMH support.
