The OpenDBX libraries provide a unified and consistent API for software developers to different database management systems. The C and C++ libraries aim to implement access to the native database interfaces efficiently via a thin abstraction layer. They consist of a basic set of functions that are part of all vendor database libraries and can be extended by additional function blocks. Currently, Firebird/Interbase, MS SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQLite 2 and 3, and Sybase ASE are supported. License: GNU Lesser General Public License (LGPL) Changes: This bugfix release contains a backport from the development branch which removes the automake dependency from the main OpenDBX header file (odbx.h) and fixes the SYBDATETIME4 type definition in the mssql backend. Furthermore it adds support for the SYBLONGCHAR and SYBLONGBINARY types in the mssql backend. It also contains a fix in the regression test program so that it will build on the latest Linux installations. The documentation was updated.
