plptools lets Unix (mainly Linux) systems
communicate with EPOC PDAs (such as the Psion
Revo, Psion Series 5, and Geofox 1) via a serial
or (on Linux) infra-red connection. The following
tools are part of the package: plpftp, an FTP-like
frontend with some extensions; plpfuse, a
FUSE-based file system that mounts the EPOC
device's file systems on the PC; sisinstall, a SIS
package installer; and plpprintd, a print server
for printing via a PC.

Changes:
This release removes the KDE utilities and
plpbackup, and replaces plpnfsd with the
FUSE-based plpfuse, which works much better. The
build system has been overhauled and radically
simplified. plpftp has been improved with support
for the EPOC clipboard, and bugfixes to stopping
and starting tasks on the EPOC device were ported
from plpbackup.
