FBReader is an e-book reader. It currently works on the Sharp Zaurus, Siemens Simpad with Opensimpad ROM, Nokia 770/N800 Internet Tablet, Archos PMA430, Motorola E680i/A780 smartphones, PepperPad 3, Asus Eee PC, IRex iLiad, UMPC, and Linux/Windows XP/FreeBSD desktop computers. It supports several e-book formats: plucker, palmdoc, zTXT, HTML, CHM, fb2, TCR (psion text), OEB, OpenReader, RTF, non-DRM'ed Mobipocket, and plain text. License: GNU General Public License (GPL) Changes: Automatic detection of the text language has been added. Chinese, Czech, English, Esperanto, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, and Ukrainian are supported. Hyphenation patterns for Finnish, Italian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish, Swedish, and Ukrainian have been added. A Finnish interface translation has been added. A custom language/encoding detection engine is used instead of enca.
