GROUP-E is collaboration software which integrates
groupware, project management, and business server
on one platform. The solution is based on a LAMP
architecture (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP). GROUP-E
offers project management, transparent Samba (file
server) integration, integration of Cyrus IMAP
server with administration and personal SIEVE
filters, support for SyncML 1.0, LDAP-based user
management with single sign-on authentication, and
LDAP contact databases.

The recipient and sender addresses are no longer lost when forwarding e-mails. Drag and drop was implemented for emails. Samba access is now much faster. The search interface in the address book was enhanced with nested queries. A direct link was provided from appointments to time recording. This release also added new assignment of user rights in projects, direct access to administration in projects, complete deleting of projects, a new interface for time recording, default values by adding a new time record., an extension for managing expenses in time recording (beta), and an extension for managing costs of employees in time recording (beta). Minor bugs were fixed.
