Xen is a virtual machine monitor for x86 that supports execution of multiple guest operating systems in isolated environments. XenAPI 1.0 was introduced, with XML configuration files for virtual machines, VM life-cycle management operations, and secure on- or off-box XML-RPC with bindings for many languages. Preliminary save/restore/migrate support for HVM (e.g. Windows) VMs was added. Dynamic memory control for HVM guests was introduced. 32-on-64 PV guest support was added. Blktap copy-on-write disk support was introduced. Many bugs were fixed.
