Browsershots is a system for automatically capturing screenshots of Web pages in a variety of browsers and making these images available to the public. Its goal is to make it easier to test the
compatibility of Web pages with a variety of
browsers. The system distributes the work of
making screenshots among community members. Anyone can add URLs to the job queue on a central server.

The source code has been updated to work with the
latest Django.
Several language translations have been added. The
most important new
features are self-registration for new users and
standalone mode for the
screenshot factory.
