Ns is a discrete event simulator targeted at networking research. It provides substantial support for simulation of TCP, routing, and multicast protocols over wired and wireless (local and satellite) networks. It includes an optional network animator (nam). License: GNU General Public License v2 Changes: This release added static multicast IPv4 routing, overhauled logging, and refactored the tracing subsystem. An initial tutorial document was included.
