KDE KBackup 0.5.2 (Default branch) |
|
|
KBackup is a program that lets you back up any
directories or files. It uses an easy-to-use
directory tree to select the things to back up.
The program was designed to be very simple to use
so that it can be used by those who are not
computer experts. The storage format is the well
known tar format, compressed with bzip2 or gzip.
It also includes German, French, Italian, and
Russian translations for the user interface and
English and German translations of the handbook.

Changes:
The program now starts with the home folder
opened. A profile option was added to avoid the
media change dialog. A profile option was added to
avoid compressing files at all. Whenever a
directory is only partly included, it is shown
with blue color. A dialog is shown when the backup
has finished. Window size is automatically saved
and restored. The "auto" command line option was
added to automatically start a backup and quit
kbackup when done. Predefined slice sizes (for CDs
and DVDs) were added in the profile settings
dialog. A Portuguese translation was added.
