Changes:
This is mostly a bugfix release, with a few more
performance improvements (for bzr diff and bzr
status with pending merges). Several performance
improvements were made, impacting bzr diff, bzr
status, and bzr pull. The conversion from
dirstate/pack branches into rich-root(pack) has
been improved, paving the way for rich-root-pack
to become the default format within the next few
releases. This will make interoperating with a
subversion repository more seemless, as bzr-svn
has required local repositories to be in
rich-root(-pack) formats. User and developer
documentation have both been expanded.

The Zumastor Linux storage project adds enterprise
storage features to Linux, primarily improved
snapshots and remote replication. Point-in-time,
near zero-cost, block level snapshots can be added
to any existing filesystem and performance does
not degrade with multiple snapshots. Remote
replication is achieved by sending minimal block
level deltas between snapshots without having to
traverse the entire filesystem like rsync does.
License: GNU General Public License (GPL)
Changes:
This release adds several bugfixes. In particular, replication between x86 and x86_64 hosts now works. Experimental native Hardy packages were provided.
OfflineIMAP is a tool to simplify email reading.
It allows you to read the same mailbox from
multiple computers and ensures that your changes
will be automatically reflected on all computers.
You can use various mail clients to read a single
box or read mail while offline with full
synchronization when you reconnect. You can read
IMAP mail with readers that lack IMAP support
(same goes for SSL). OfflineIMAP's multithreaded
synchronization algorithm performs between 10 and
60 times faster than many mail readers' internal
IMAP support, and it can be used even with mail
readers that support IMAP already. There are five
available user interface modules, including
scripted execution, an interactive terminal
interface, and GUI interfaces.
License: GNU General Public License (GPL)
Changes:
More work on LocalStatus creation.
AFS is a distributed filesystem which offers a client-server architecture, transparent data migration abilities, scalability, a single namespace, and integrated ancillary subsystems.
License: IBM Public License
Changes:
Rx optimizations now attempt to deal with high latency WANs. The fileserver avoids a potential infinite loop when a client relinquishes an address. The fileserver large setting now configures more threads. The fileserver properly registers uuids of new clients. Client will not wait infinitely for a server that is not providing data. Fileservers reserve enough file descriptors such that each thread can cache one to avoid spurious errors. On Windows, a reference count leak in the file server has been fixed, udebug is prevented from crashing, and another VNOVNODE issue has been fixed.
NFO Viewer is a simple viewer for NFO files, which

Mac OS Darwin targets no longer attempt to use ldconfig. "make debug" has been fixed by removing the use of rpm.release. An empty custom include directory is not removed during installation.
dvipng makes PNG or GIF graphics from DVI files
obtained from TeX and its relatives. Its benefits
include speed; it uses very fast bitmap-rendering
code for DVI files. Furthermore, it does not read
the postamble, so it can be started before TeX
finishes. It supports PK, VF, PostScript Type1
(via FreeType or t1lib), and TrueType fonts (via
FreeType), color specials, can render CJK fonts,
and more.
License: GNU Lesser General Public License (LGPL)
Changes:
The main code addition is limited support for literal PostScript specials using gs. For example, most of the PSTricks package can now be rendered using dvipng. Unfortunately, dvipng can only handle drawing PostScript code at the moment, not PostScript code intended to make dvips + gs scale, rotate, or move DVI glyphs (characters). This is because the graphics state cannot be communicated back to dvipng from gs. As a result, there are no guarantees. Also, the performance in terms of runtime could be better.
levmar is a robust and efficient C/C++
implementation of the Levenberg-Marquardt (LM)
optimization algorithm. LM solves the non-linear least squares problem, i.e. fitting a set of m observations with a model that is non-linear in n unknown parameters (m>=n). levmar includes double and single precision LM variants, both with analytic and finite difference approximated
Jacobians. It also has some support for constrained non-linear least squares, allowing linear equation and box constraints to be imposed. Availability of LAPACK/BLAS is strongly recommended for carrying out linear algebra
computations.
License: GNU General Public License (GPL)
Changes:
Improved support for problems with zero measurement vectors. Memory retained among invocations of the linear solvers is released when levmar terminates. The option of compiling only the single or only the double precision functions of levmar has been added. A new error code 7 signaling infinite values in the function provided by the user has been introduced. A couple of minor problems in the line search procedure of box constrained optimization have been fixed. A detailed example on using levmar for fitting a non-linear model to noisy data has been added.
The Amahi Home Server is a "Home Digital
Assistant," or HDA. It's a server targeted for

Changes:
Version 0.88 of the platform software, with new and improved support for themes in the dashboard, setup, and platform screens, as well as a “theme server” for other apps so that changing the theme in the platform settings can change the theme across apps. This version also contains some minor stability improvements. Version 0.25 of the webcal app (the one showing the calendars through a Web interface) is now using the theme server in the base Amahi platform to get part of its look and feel.
Ragel compiles finite state machines from regular
languages into C, C++, Objective-C, D, Java, or
Ruby code. It allows the programmer to embed
actions at any point in a regular language, and to
control non-determinism in the resulting machines.
It understands concatenation, union, kleene star,
subtraction, intersection, epsilon transitions,
and various other common operators. It also
supports the construction of scanners and the
building of state machines using state charts. It
can be used to create very fast recognizers and
parsers that are also robust.
License: GNU General Public License (GPL)
Changes:
A number of reported bugs were fixed. Include and import file searching was improved. The -I include path option was added.
jmemcached is a Java implementation of the daemon
(server) side of
the memcached protocol. It implements a clone of
the C version of the
memcached daemon, but in pure Java. It is protocol
compatible with the
C version of memcached. Existing clients,
including the one for Java,
should work without modification. Replacing the
Java version with the C
version (and vice versa) is trivial. It can be
embedded in an existing
Java project or used from its commandline
interface (which mimics the C
version in arguments).
License: The Apache License 2.0
Changes:
A major bugfix to the ADD protocol method. An upgrade to the most recent stable Apache Mina version. Fixes to the internal cache API to expose proper methods for public use. A 'stop' method to cleanly bring the daemon down.

modelling and replay of various networking
patterns. It represents the next generation
benchmarking tools (like filebench) where instead
of running a fixed benchmark or workload, a
description (or model) of the workload is provided
and the tool generates the load according to the
model. By distilling the benchmark or workload
into a model, you can do various things like
change the scale of the workload, change different
parameters, change protocols, etc and analyse the
effect of these changes on your model. You can
also study the effect of interleaving CPU
activity, or think times or the use of SSL instead
of TCP, among many other things.
