The cb2Bib is a tool for rapidly extracting bibliographic references from email alerts, journal Web pages, and PDF files. It facilitates the capture of single references from unformatted and non standard sources. Output references are written in BibTeX. Article files can be easily linked and renamed by dragging them onto the cb2Bib window. The cb2Bib permits editing and browsing of BibTeX files, searching of references and the contents of linked files, and the addition of citations into document editors. PrinterSetup is a flexible printer setup system. It is tailored to institutions with more than 20 deployed printers. It is designed to work with CUPS on Mac OS X. PrinterSetup is a component of PrintingWorks, a print accounting solution. There is limited documentation. Apple package deployment requires Mac OS X 10.3 or later, and is untested on earlier versions. Apple package development requires Mac OS X 10.5 or later and Xcode 3.0 or later. htop is an interactive process viewer for Linux. It aims to be a 'better top': you can scroll the process list vertically and horizontally, and select a process to be killed with the arrow keys instead of by typing its process id. It requires ncurses, and was tested with Linux 2.4 and 2.6. License: GNU General Public License (GPL) Changes: This release adds per-process I/O statistics, Unicode support, and new handling of CPU count for threaded processes: it can now show either per-thread stats or a sum of all threads depending whether user threads are shown or hidden. There were also improvements in mouse support.

DocBook XSL Configurator is a Java GUI used to create DocBook XSL FO customization layers. Users click through tables, select parameters they want to include, edit those parameters, include the customization layer in a project, write out the customization layer as an XSL file, and apply the XSL to the project's DocBook XML using the project's specified XSLT processor. DocBook XSL Configurator then runs a project's specified FO processor and PDF/PostScript viewer as external subprocesses. License: GNU General Public License (GPL) Changes: This version has been updated to be in sync with version 1.73-2 of the DocBook XSL FO parameter set. Additionally, it includes new online JavaHelp and documentation in several formats. Project upgrades from previous versions are performed automatically, with user confirmation.

The OpenLDAP Project is a collaborative effort to provide a robust, commercial-grade, fully featured, open source LDAP software suite. The project is managed by a worldwide community of volunteers that use the Internet to communicate, plan, and develop OpenLDAP Software and its related documentation. OpenLDAP Software provides a complete LDAP implementation including server, clients, C SDK, and associated tools. License: OSI Approved Changes: The most significant changes in this release were fixes for the replication code. Some other minor bugfixes are also present. A number of documentation enhancements have been made.

Shared Scientific Toolbox in Java is a library of quality lightweight components for scientific/distributed computing that includes the first true multidimensional array package in Java, a parallel data flow engine, an asynchronous sockets layer, an annotation-driven class loader, and more. License: OSI Approved Changes: The Event interface definition has been augmented to include the event type enumeration as a generic parameter. A first draft of the networking chapter has been added to the user manual. Numerous improvements to the networking layer and its unit tests have been made. Multidimensional arrays now support uSin, uCos, and uAtan operations.

txt2html is a Perl program that uses the HTML::TextToHTML perl module to convert plain text to HTML. It supports headings, lists, tables, simple character markup, hyperlinking and is highly customizable. It recognizes some of the apparent structure of the source document (mostly whitespace and typographic layout) and attempts to mark that structure explicitly using HTML. License: Perl License Changes: This release fixes an underscores in links bug, and has minor fixes to the documentation.

Wyneken is a text processor that leverages several technologies to bring about a very professional looking document. Wyneken documents are written in a bbcode-style markup that gets converted into a LaTeX document. HeVeA, Latex2rtf, and latex-beamer are all used to bring you more functionality. In specific, HeVeA allows for the output of HTML and Ascii Text Files. Latex2RTF does the same for RTF files. latex-beamer is presentation software that sits under Wyneken Presentations. License: GNU General Public License (GPL) Changes: The highlights of this release include a switch from GTK to Qt 4, a new parser that allows for nested Wyneken statements, improved wyndb handling and performance, a hypertext infrastructure for included documents, and a GUI to import images and subsample an image if necessary. This release has one window to handle all open/new/save as controls. It is launched from the Edit Documents button. PyCode now parses Wyneken code as opposed to LaTeX code. Export to HTML has been added.

Rsyncrypto allows you to encrypt a file or a directory structure such that they can later be synchronized to another machine using rsync. This means that local changes to the plain text file result in local changes to the cipher text file. rsyncrypto compresses the plain text file prior to encrypting it with gzip using the "rsyncable" patch, which is available from the rsync sources. License: GNU General Public License (GPL) Changes: A problem deleting files when --trim=0 was combined with --name-encrypt has been fixed. A major overhaul of the man pages and the documentation has been done. There are many Windows-related changes. There is a new installer, compiler, and dependencies.

Sequoia provides high availability and performance scalability for databases. It is is the continuation of the C-JDBC project. It provides transparent database clustering (partitioning, replication, etc.). It works with any Java application without code modification and with any database engine. It has been successfully tested with Tomcat, JBoss, JOnAS, WebSphere, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Apache Derby, HSQLDB, SAP DB, Oracle, DB2, Sybase, MS SQL Server, Firebird, and more. License: The Apache License 2.0 Changes: This release accumulates about a year of stability patches and a couple of new features mostly for production users. Compliance to API specifications has been improved, and additional support for embedded databases has been added.

fwdaemon is a Linux firewall runtime backend. Any client application can communicate with the fwdaemon and decide what network network flow can be accepted or which should be dropped. License: GNU General Public License v2 Changes: This release has more rules manipulation (session rules are removed after timeout), configuration management, and documentation updates.

libLAS is a C++ library implementing the ASPRS LAS Format Specification. The library provides an API for reading and writing LiDAR data stored in LAS files. There is a C API and Python bindings, as well as a set of command line utilities for processing LAS files.

benerator is a framework for creating realistic and valid high-volume test data, used for testing (unit/integration/load) and showcase setup. Metadata constraints are imported from systems and/or configuration files. Data can imported from and exported to files and systems, anonymized, or generated from scratch. Domain packages provide reusable generators for creating domain-specific data such as names and addresses, internationalizable in language and region. benerator is strongly customizable with plugins and configuration options. License: GNU General Public License (GPL) Changes: This is primarily a bugfix release and adds an Excel sheet exporter.

DKP Log Parser is a tool designed to help administrate time-based and/or event-based DKP reward systems (popular in MMORPGs) in conjunction with EQDKP (or any other DKP software implementing a required interface). It parses logs, calculates rewards, and then uploads them. The tool is configurable to be compatible with most games that produces some kind of log. There are currently predefined pattern sets for EverQuest, EverQuest2, and World of Warcraft (with CT RaidTracker). License: GNU General Public License (GPL) Changes: This release updates the predefined patterns to match a minor change in the format of logs produced by EverQuest 2.

numactl implements simple NUMA policy support. A NUMA policy allows you to tune programs by controlling the placement of memory in NUMA (Non Uniform Memory Access) systems. The numactl program runs other programs with a specific NUMA policy, and the libnuma shared library ("NUMA API") can be used to set NUMA policy in applications. Libnuma is the preferred interface to the Linux kernel NUMA policy system calls. The package also has various tools, like numastat to decode the kernel NUMA statistics. License: GNU General Public License (GPL) Changes: Page migration support. Cpuset-relative CPU and node numbers. Variable-length bit maps make libnuma independent of system size. With a small codebase, the PowerDNS Recursor is an advanced resolver currently serving the DNS resolving needs of over 40 million Internet connections. Besides high performance (using kqueue or epoll, over 50 thousand qps on commodity hardware), it provides advanced anti-spoofing measures. In addition, the program caches server performance and timeouts, making it both network and user friendly. It also has built-in hooks for making graphs with rrdtool, providing insight into nameserver performance. License: GNU General Public License (GPL) Changes: This version fixes two unfortunate bugs, one with slight security implications. The first bug impacts heavily loaded servers trying to resolve domains with nameservers broken in a specific way. The other bug implies that the new random generator was not used for UDP source port selection.

python-djvulibre is a set of Python bindings for the DjVuLibre library, an open source implementation of DjVu.

akk@da is a simple network monitoring system designed for small and medium size computer networks. Its purpose is to quick detect system or network faults, and to display information about detected problems for the administrator. It is designed as a pro-active network monitor. It does not wait for information from any agents, systems, etc. It collects information itself every minute (you can decrease this period to as little as 1 second if needed). Almost all services of the monitored hosts are discovered automatically. License: GNU General Public License (GPL) Changes: This release is available as an appliance.

Duplicate Files Searcher is an application for finding and deleting duplicate files on your computer. It can also be used to calculate MD5 and SHA hashes. It has features such as manual files selection (giving the user full control over files to be deleted), byte for byte file comparison, file preview, several file comparison methods, and more. License: Freeware Changes: Several bugs have been fixed. A Russian translation has been added.

Free YouTube Downloader is a powerful and easy to use application for downloading videos from YouTube. It allows you to extract video files names from the YouTube Web site, perform multiple downloads during one program session, and produce HTML format download reports. Bugzero is a Web-based bug tracking, defect tracking, issue tracking, and change management system used in a distributed team environment to track software bugs, hardware defects, test cases, or any other issues. It can also be used equally well as a helpdesk customer support, trouble ticketing, or email management system to collect and manage customer feedbacks, incidents, requests, and issues. It is easy to use, but still flexible and adaptive, and can be configured to fit to your organization's unique business process and workflow. License: Other/Proprietary License with Free Trial Changes: Missing dependent fields on the query page were added back, and the 'multi-select' fields were added to the parent field list. Queries on the fields of object type are better handled. The issue of page reloading on issue status change was fixed.

Glossword is a system to publish dictionaries, glossaries, and encyclopedias. It features an installation wizard, support for multiple languages, visual themes, multi-domain installation, an administrative interface with multi-user support, built-in search and cache engines, the ability to export/import dictionaries in XML format, and W3C-validated code. Glossword is useful for any sort of dictionary-like content, including sites with game cheat codes, online translators, references, and various kinds of CMS solutions. License: GNU General Public License v2 Changes: This is a bugfix release with two enhancements: progress bars for the Backup utility and for importing terms.

The PCRE library is a set of functions that implement regular expression pattern matching using the same syntax and semantics as Perl 5, with just a few differences. PCRE is used by many programs, including Exim, Postfix, and PHP. License: BSD License (revised) Changes: Mostly bugfixes. Some extra options have been added to pcregrep, and there is additional Oniguruma and JavaScript compatibility.

JOrbis is a pure Java Ogg Vorbis decoder. License: GNU Lesser General Public License (LGPL) Changes: This release has improved performance by suppressing frequent GC in Residue.

S.C.O.U.R.G.E. is a Rogue-like game with a modern user interface. The game allows a group of four characters to search for treasure, kill enemies, gain levels, etc. License: GNU General Public License (GPL) Changes: The game now comes with full German and Italian translations. All missions start outdoors in a village with its own set of NPCs. Outdoor levels now have better flora modeling and sport variable weather conditions. Many ambient sound effects have been added.

Apache Geo Map is a script that parses an Apache combined access log for the IP addresses of hosts that have accessed the server. It then looks up a Geo-Tag for those locations and, if successful, it adds them to a data file which the Google Maps API then displays. This plots all unique resolvable hits on a map. License: GNU General Public License v3 Changes: This release adds config support from the command line (e.g. ./apache-geo-map.pl -c /etc/apachegeomap/default.conf). This should allow you to run the script easily for multiple sites. The script still supports defaults, so you don't have to specify a config file. This release also includes a fixed example and README documentation.

COMDOM Antispam is a high-capacity platform designed for the requirements of ISPs and other large organizations that must fight spam. COMDOM is a powerful anti-spam system operating as a stand alone mail gateway with relay control, authentication, and load balancing support. Libzen is a library written in C++ that implements the BitTorrent protocol. It is currently at a very early stage of development. The aim of this project is to develop a stable library followed by a fully functional client application.

Measuring Buffer is an enhanced version of buffer. It features display of throughput, memory-mapped file I/O for huge buffers, network support, and multithreading. License: GNU General Public License (GPL) Changes: This release fixes mlock failure if -L is passed before -T. It uses MAP_SHARED instead of MAP_PRIVATE to work around low memory limitations with huge buffers. A segfault when missing an argument has been fixed. Libraries are linked after objects to prevent linker errors.

Hocuspocus is a small and extensible Web server for controlling key Linux applications remotely via a Web server. This means you can adjust things like system volume from any browser, including a WiFi enabled PDA such as the iPhone. License: GNU General Public License v3 Changes: This release improves the GUI and overall usability.

BitRock InstallBuilder allows you to create easy-to-use multiplatform installers for Linux (x86/PPC/s390/x86_64/Itanium), Windows, Mac OS X, FreeBSD, OpenBSD, Solaris (x86/Sparc), IRIX, AIX, and HP-UX applications. The generated application installers have a native look-and-feel and no external dependencies, and can be run in GUI, text, and unattended modes. WDB is a weather data storage system for storage of weather and water observations, forecasts, analysis fields, and models. The system should be compatible with the meteorological standards BUFR and GRIB (version 1 and 2). In addition to generic loading programs, WDB also features a flexible retrieval interface for retrieving weather data in time series or entire fields. WDB is built using PostgreSQL extended with PostGIS. License: GNU General Public License v2 Changes: This release fixes some problems in the GRIB loading component related to the detection of the circumstances in which new field definition metadata is required.

Syntext Serna is a highly customizable, multi-platform, pure XSL-driven WYSIWYG XML content editor. It looks and works like a conventional word processor, yet it gives you much more flexibility to alter or reuse content while keeping its integrity intact. It lets you collaborate on compound documents that contain embedded data from various sources. Content is viewed as an integrated whole that is intuitively transparent to authors. A number of stability issues were fixed.

Policyd v2 (codenamed "cluebringer") is a multi-platform policy server for popular MTAs. This policy daemon is designed mostly for large scale mail hosting environments. The main goal is to implement as many spam combating and email compliance features as possible while at the same time maintaining portability, stability, and performance. Its features include detailed policy and group specification, access control, helo/ehlo checks (helo randomization prevention and RFC compliance), SPF checks, Greylisting, Quotas, and Amavisd-new integration. License: GNU General Public License (GPL) Changes: Over 100 changes and bugfixes were made.

Timecardimport allows time sheet data to be imported from GnoTime for Unix, Timesheet for Palm OS, or iBiz for Mac OS X, into SQL-Ledger as time cards. License: Perl License Changes: Several bugs in the Web interface were fixed for importing timeline files and in the optional routine that overwrites a Gnome Time Tracker file with a copy marking the imported timelines as paid.

KontrolPack is an efficient, cross-platform remote shell command executor. The project's goal is to improve system interoperability when connecting to remote computers (independently of operating systems running) and when executing shell commands across networks. License: GNU General Public License v2 Changes: This release offers new client handling (with a more friendly user interface with dynamic tap panel) and a new command memory system (like in a real shell terminal). Some graphical bugs have been fixed. Regarding the ShellKontrol client, users can now run it as an NT service or a Unix daemon, and some Bourne shell scripts have been created to install or uninstall a client under a Unix-like platform.

OpenNMS is the first enterprise-grade network management platform developed using the open source model. The three main functional areas of OpenNMS are service polling, which monitors services on the network and reports on their "service level"; data collection from the remote systems via SNMP in order to measure the performance of the network; and a system for event management and notifications. License: GNU General Public License (GPL) Changes: This is the second release candidate for the next stable release. The yum and apt repositories have been updated.

open-cgf provides a 3GPP-compliant charging gateway function (CGF) as a sink for SGSN, GGSN, and other streamed CDRs on the 3GPP Ga/Gz interface. Refer to 3GPP 32.295. These are common data elements of GSM/UMTS mobile telephone networks. License: GNU General Public License v2 Changes: Limited integration testing has been performed with a GGSN, more is desirable.

dradis is a tool for sharing information during security testing. While plenty of tools exist to help in the different stages of the test, not so many exist to share interesting information captured. When a team of testers is working on the same set of targets, having a common repository of information is esential to avoid duplication of efforts. License: GNU General Public License v2 Changes: In the client, HTML tags are correctly displayed in the notesbrowser, the module to export to XML is now part of the core module set, a new implementation of the command line parser was made, and the window.rb:159 bug was fixed. In the server, a slightly less annoying implementation of the web interface "auto refresh" functionality was made, the services added through the Web interface can have a name now, simple prevention against embedded XSS was added, and the missing submit.png image is included in the release now.

LilyKDE is a set of tools to integrate the LilyPond music typesetter into KDE. It consists of icon and MIME type information for LilyPond files, a Kate plugin to run LilyPond and embed a preview with clickable notes and error messages, and a Konqueror service menu. License: GNU General Public License (GPL) Changes: As a new feature, you can put special formatted variables in your LilyPond document to instruct LilyKDE to compile a different file. This is useful when you are working on a file that is included by another file. This implements the feature requested in issue#2. When you called hyphenation and had no text selected, the error message did not show. This has been fixed.

J51 is a Intel MCS51 emulator with all the standard integrated peripherals. A disassembler with an integrated debugger is also included. Standard peripherals emulated are Timer 0/1 (Mode 0, 1, 2, and interrupts), serial interface in polled and interrupt mode, standard I/O, and ports 0 to 4. Microprocessors emulated are the Intel MCS 8051 (no peripherals), Intel 8051, Intel 8052, Philips LPC674, and Philips LPc900. License: Freeware Changes: The assembler panel now uses JTable. Performance was improved with the new design of the disassembler. The performance of Timer and Timer2 was improved. More compiled samples were added. The GUI was made better and more frendly.

Twitim is an XMPP (Jabber) client for Twitter. It features custom watchlists, sounds, and pop-up notifications.

Spensierato is a simple-to-use Web site CMS. It is designed to allow in-site editing so that non-technical users can just find the page, update an element, and save it. License: GNU General Public License (GPL) Changes: Site registration now works. Adding child pages and elements to a page works. Editing of text elements is done.

Visualization Library is a C++ middleware for 2D/3D graphics applications based on the industry standard OpenGL 2.1. It supports advanced features like OpenGL Shading Language, Frame Buffer Objects, Multiple Render Targets, Vertex and Pixel Buffer Objects, KdTree/AABB frustum culling, a multilingual Unicode-based text engine, advanced texturing, DDS cubemaps, mipmaps, compressed textures, and much more. The Appconf Libraryp is a library responsible for managing the configuration data of other, bigger, standalone applications. It lets you read configuration files and feed your applications with required data. The library supports storing information in ini-like files or MySQL tables.

PHPDevShell is a stable, secure, fast PHP Web administration framework. It allows rapid deployment of Web based PHP applications. It is robust, secure, clean, fast, and includes many administrative functions. It supports an unlimited number of users, user groups, security levels, menu tree levels, and menus. License: GNU Lesser General Public License (LGPL) Changes: This is a major upgrade which adds many additional features, improvements, and fixes to the package. New features include a cache system, multiple menu types, core improvements, cronjob improvements, and GUI improvements.

WebGUI is a content management framework built to allow average business users to build and maintain complex Web sites. It is modular, pluggable, and platform independent. It was designed to allow the people who create the content to manage it online, rather than content management taking up the time of busy IT staff. WebGUI comes with a full host of features including shopping cart, subscriptions, forums, photo galleries, FAQs, link lists, blogs, SQL reports, a Web services interface, and a very configurable user privilege and profiling system. License: GNU General Public License (GPL) Changes: This release fixes some small Data Form, Collaboration, and user importing bugs.

eHour is a Web-based time registration tool for project-based businesses. The primary objective is to keep time tracking as simple as needed while still being very effective at measuring and reporting the amount of time your team spends on a project. It is developed in Java (Spring and Hibernate) with a MySQL backend. License: Freeware Changes: eHour is now translated in French, Italian, and Dutch. Partial German, Polish, Spanish, and Portuguese translations are included. Furthermore, the first day of the week and the number of work hours in a day are configurable. Authenticated SMTP is now supported as well.

YourKit Java Profiler is a CPU and memory profiler that makes it easy to solve wide range of CPU- and memory-related performance problems. It features automatic leak detection, powerful tools for the analysis of memory distribution, an object heap browser, comprehensive memory tests as part of your JUnit testing process, extremely low profiling overhead, transparent deobfuscation support, and integration with Eclipse, JBuilder, IntelliJ IDEA, NetBeans, and JDeveloper IDEs. License: Free for non-commercial use Changes: IntelliJ IDEA 8 (EAP) is supported (tested with build 8280). Quality of sampling was improved for programs which use java.util.concurrent blocking. Navigation to inner and anonymous classes was improved for the Eclipse IDE. A Mac OS X 10.5 problem was fixed, namely a possible exception in the UI after closing tabs.

Patch Check Advanced (pca) generates lists of installed and missing patches for Sun Solaris systems and optionally downloads patches. It resolves dependencies between patches and installs them in the correct order. It works on all versions of Solaris and on both SPARC and x86. License: Free To Use But Restricted Changes: HTML tags in patchdiag.xref are ignored. This change from Sun to patchdiag.xref breaks compatibility with all previous versions of PCA and makes updating mandatory. An option for concurrent patch downloads was added. A new option to set sunsolve access protocol to HTTPS was added. wgetproxy options for non-SunSolve URLs are honored as well. The file ../etc/pca-proxy.conf is read in proxy mode. Checks for several patches were added.
