TaskJuggler is a modern and powerful project management tool. Its new approach to project planning and tracking is far superior to the commonly used Gantt chart editing tools. UNIXEm is a small and simple library that provides emulation of several popular Unix API functions on the Win32 platform. Its primary purpose is to assist Win32 programmers who are porting to Unix or are writing multi-platform code. API functions include opendir/readdir/closedir, glob/globfree, readv/writev, pathconf/realpath, mmap/munmap/msync, dlopen/dlclose/dlsym/dlerror, gettimeofday, and getpagesize.

Super Grub Disk is a bootable floppy or CDROM that
is oriented towards system rescue, specifically
for repairing the booting process. Super Grub Disk
is simply a Grub Disk with a lot of useful menus.
It can activate partitions, boot partitions, boot
MBRs, boot your former OS (Linux or another one)
by loading menu.lst from your hard disk,
automatically restore Grub on your MBR, swap hard
disks in the BIOS, and boot from any available
disk device. It has multi-language support, and
allows you to change the keyboard layout of your
shell.

Booting to Windows was fixed. Quick menu options were rewritten for non-English users and help was added. It is now possible to manually restore grub to the MBR, which is useful for Windows systems that overwrite sectors just after the MBR.
The goal of Xplico is to extract the applications
data from an Internet traffic capture. For
example, from a pcap file Xplico extracts each
email (POP, IMAP, and SMTP protocols), all HTTP
contents, each VoIP call (SIP), and so on. Xplico
isn't a packet sniffer or a network protocol
analyzer; it's an IP/Internet traffic decoder or
network forensic analysis tool (NFAT).
Geant4 is a toolkit for the simulation of the
passage of particles through matter. Its
application areas include high energy physics and
nuclear experiments, medical, accelerator, and
space physics studies.

A switch was made from g77 to gfortran on Mac OS X. Setup for XercesC was added. An implementation of interactive parallel world scoring was added. The Geant4-DNA domain was refactored and new Geant4-DNA models were added. A polarized photo-electric effect was added. A more general cross section framework was implemented along with a new ion ionisation process with discrete ion charge and no equilibrium between ion and media. An STL vector of G4VEmModel* is used instead of a C array. Neutral currents normalization for neutrino-nuclear interactions was corrected. Single Target Diffraction was introduced along with many new methods and bugfixes.
Igelle is a Linux-based operating system
distribution that is designed to run on various
different devices, including desktop/laptop
computers, cellular phones, mobile internet
devices, and other handheld computers. As much as
reasonably possible, it aims to produce the same
user experience across all supported platforms.

i-doIT is an IT documentation system based on ITIL
guidelines. It documents IT systems and their
changes, defines emergency plans, displays vital
information, and helps to ensure a stable and
effcient operation of IT networks. i-doiT allows a
rich amount of technical information to be filed
for each element from a wall outlet to a mainframe
in a structured way. Every employee can access
this information easily (and in a selective way)
through a Web browser. Due to its modular
architecture, it is possible to deploy
functionality add-ons or even develop extensions.

sshdautoban is a script intended to automatically
ban, in real time, attackers that are trying to
connect on your sshd service without
authorization. It blocks connections from an IP
address when it issues too many login errors.

It is now possible to call the script with the "-c" argument to clean out /etc/hosts.deny. This uses a new parameter: cleanup_period => "week". x2svg is software to graphically lay out files like DTDs, XML Schema, Java property files, and Ant build files as scalable vector graphics (SVG). SVG diagrams can be converted into various formats (like PDF or PNG) directly from within x2svg.

The CyaSSL software package is a fast,

GtkDatabox is a widget for the GTK+ library designed to display large amounts of numerical data quickly and easily. It allows for one or more data sets of thousands of data points (X and Y coordinates) to be displayed and updated in split seconds. It offers the ability to zoom into and out of the data, and to navigate through your data by scrolling. In addition to rulers and a simple coordinate cross, it allows you to add one (or even more) configurable grids like on an oscilloscope. Data may be presented as dots, lines connecting the data, or vertical bars. The widget allows you to easily transform pixel coordinates into data coordinates, thus allowing you to easily create powerful applications for data analysis.

libburnia is a project comprised of libraries and
binaries for reading, mastering, and writing optical
discs. It provides a CD/DVD burn library with a cdrecord
emulator and a manipulation library for ISO 9660
filesystems. On top of this is a multi-session
library with a unique all-in-one application. libburn/cdrskin is the burn library and its cdrecord emulator. libisoburn/xorriso is a multi-session library with an all-in-one application for ISO 9660 filesystem creation and CD/DVD burning. libisofs is the ISO9660 filesystem manipulation library.

Wine is an implementation of the Windows API on top of X and Unix. It
does not require Microsoft Windows, but can use native Windows DLLs if
they are available. It provides both a development toolkit for porting
Windows source code to Unix as well as a program loader, allowing many
unmodified Windows programs to run on x86-based Unixes.

Nitrogen is a background browser and setter for X.
It is written in C++ using the gtkmm toolkit. It

This release improves performance and memory usage by only loading thumbnails visible to the view. It also fixes some compilation problems on some architectures regarding inotify.
Xinha is a cross browser, cross platform Embedded
WYSIWYG HTML Editor. Although it was originally a
stop-gap version of the htmlArea Version 3.0rc1
editor during a period of inactivity in that
project, it is now a fully fledged fork. Xinha
includes a number of bugfixes and many
enhancements over htmlArea, and is in active
development by a small and growing number of
developers.

Benojt is a fast and flexible explorer for various types of fractals. It can render escape-time fractals like Mandelbrot/Julia style fractals, Newton fractals, Lyapunov fractals, and two dimensional attractors/strange attractors. Due to its modular design, single components like iterators, renderers, and colorings can be replaced, making it easy to experiment with individual aspects of fractal creation. New iterators can be created at runtime by typing a fractal fomula which is compiled and loaded automatically.

MailSteward will archive all of your email in a
database for easy retrieval, without touching or
modifying the email in your email client program.
Just click on the Store Email in Database button
and MailSteward will go to work storing copies of
all your email, both text and HTML versions, and
attachments, into a relational database file. You
can then retrieve email and attachments from the
database by searching on Date, From, To, Subject,
Mailbox, or Body text.

peppy ((ap)Proximated (X)Emacs Powered by Python) is a wxPython/Scintilla-based editor written in and extensible through Python. It attempts to provide an XEmacs-like multi-window, multi-tabbed framework with low coupling, so it's easy to add support for new types of files.

Vala is a new programming language that aims to

management software suite that allows small to
medium-sized organizations to automate document
intensive, approval-based processes across various
systems including finance, HR, and operations. It
is an entirely Web-based, AJAX-enabled application
that is built on the popular open source LAMP
stack. It includes tools to design forms, create
documents, assign roles and users, create routing
rules, and is designed with a full
service-orientated architecture (SOA) and Web
Services interface allowing the software to
directly connect with popular business
intelligence, content management, and enterprise
resource planning systems.

New features include the ability to define case priority and reorder case loads according to priority level. Cases may also be reassigned to another user, giving users more flexibility during the case resolution process. The Bash Navigate Toolkit provides a set of
functionality that allows users of the Bash (or
Korn) shell to create and use sets of directory
"favorites." These functions allow simple
navigation within the file system, as well as
deployment of automated scripts to iterate
directories and perform various activities.

Vuurmuur is a middle-end and front-end for netfilter and
iptables that is aimed at system administrators who need a

NetCDF is a format developed at Unidata that was
inspired by the CDF format from NASA. NetCDF
stands for "Network Common Data Form" and is a
self-describing data format, commonly used in
scientific and engineering applications.

SCAN is a personal information retrieval
framework, combining search, text analysis,
tagging, and metadata functions for document
collections management. SCAN is a component-based
software using a number of plugins for specific
features. The basic SCAN platform can be easily
extended with plugins for different document
formats and document location types.
Task Coach is a simple todo manager to manage
personal tasks and todo lists. It grew out of a
frustration that well-known task managers, such as
those provided with Outlook or Lotus Notes, do not
provide facilities for composite tasks. Often,
tasks and other things to do consist of several
activities. Task Coach is designed to deal with
composite tasks.

GTK VNC Viewer is a script that provides a GUI for
connecting to VNC servers. It remembers the
credentials of known servers, so connecting to a

Streamsniff is a small command line tool that sniffs network traffic for stream URLs. It detects RTSP, MMS, and icy protocols, and performs a backtrace on HTTP traffic to detect "playlist" URLs and Flash video files. This is useful when you want to reveal the stream you started with your browser and don't feel like digging through loads of HTML and Javascript.

This release is a development snapshot to enable developers and Administrators to use the new SOAP gateway to embed OpenMeetings into their existing environment. The SOAP gateway uses Axis2 to generate WSDL files and provide methods. Some issues have been fixed, including a reworked video API.
Stopmotion is an application for creating stop motion animations from images imported from a v4l (or similar) device. The animations can be saved as .sto files and exported as video files. Grabbing of images and video export is plug-in based, so it is easy to use your favourite programs such as mencoder, ffmpeg, dvgrab, and vgrabbj to do the job.

EiffelStudio is an IDE for the Eiffel language (ECMA-367, ISO/IEC 25436, and ACM Software System Award 2006). It includes: Eiffel compiler, Eiffel editor, Eiffel code browsing tool, graphical design tool, refactoring tool, debugger, profiler, and Eiffel analysis tools (Metrics, Dependencies, etc.). Eiffel generates C or CLI for .NET or Mono. Eiffel applies O-O principles and Design by Contract for high-quality software. LibAxl is an efficient implementation of the XML
1.0 standard specification. It doesn't have any
external library dependencies, having a clean
implementation based on opaque types and a
consistent API to manipulate your XML documents
without compromising your code. It is extremely
memory efficient and thread safe with a small
footprint (89k). It also includes XML Namespaces support.

The base library (libaxl) was updated to allow configuring a set of external handlers that allow run-time buffered decode operations. This was used to implement libaxl-babel, the foundation to give Axl Library support for more encoding formats than UTF-8. Several bugs in the library have been fixed, and some improvements were implemented on axl-knife (like producing a C inline representation for a DTD).
Simple Groupware is a complete enterprise application offering email, calendaring, contacts, tasks, document management, synchronization with cell phones and Outlook, full-text search, and much more. Simple Groupware combines standards like RSS, iCalendar, vCard, IMAP, POP3, SMTP, CIFS, CSV, WebDAV, LDAP, and SyncML under one platform. Unlike other groupware software, Simple Groupware contains the programming language sgsML to enable the quick customization and creation of powerful Web applications.

Automatic creation for the trash folder in IMAP was implemented, and some more colors were added to merged folders. Cibyl is a programming environment that allows
compiled C/C++ programs to execute on J2ME-capable
phones. Cibyl uses GCC to compile programs
to MIPS binaries, and these are then translated
into Java bytecode. The use of binary translation and the simplicity of translating MIPS instructions means that Cibyl programs can be quite well-performing. With Cibyl, programs written in C/C++ can be ported to J2ME without switching languages.

Project Dune is a quality management system that manages issues, releases, projects, customers, documents, and code inspections. It is integrated with source code control systems and you can inspect code from your browser. There are very useful reports available to analyze your organization's or team's performance in software development. Many boring administrative tasks are automated.

clive is a video extraction tool for user-uploaded video hosts such as Youtube, Google Video, Dailymotion, Guba, and Metacafe. It can be chained with 3rd party tools for subsequent video re-encoding and playing.

PacketFence is a network access control (NAC) system. It is actively maintained and has been deployed in numerous large-scale institutions. It can be used to effectively secure networks, from small to very large heterogeneous networks. PacketFence provides NAC-oriented features such as registration of new network devices, detection of abnormal network activities including from remote snort sensors, isolation of problematic devices, remediation through a captive portal, and registration-based and scheduled vulnerability scans.

Sudo (su "do") allows a system administrator to give certain users (or groups of users) the ability to run some (or all) commands as root while logging all commands and arguments. Sudo operates on a per-command basis, it is not a replacement for the shell.

There was missing whitespace before the LDAP libraries in the Makefile for some configurations. LDAP support now compiles on systems where LDAPS_PORT is not defined. Also fixes a bug introduced in sudo 1.6.9p14 if the LDAP server could not be contacted and the user was not present in the sudoers file, a syntax error in sudoers was incorrectly reported.
Thread Safe Template Library (TSTL) is a C++
library that provides thread-safe storage data
structures without global locking. It includes
classes for maps based on a non-binary extensible
hashing tree for very fast access, a pipe, a
queue, a timercache, a limitcache, and a fast
writer multiple reader guard (WMRG) without global
locking (which uses the interlocked instruction
set of the CPU). It's useful for writing
multithreaded applications and operating system
components.

OpenAIS is an open source implementation of the SA Forum (www.saforum.org) Application Interface Specification. The project currently implements APIs to improve availability by reducing MTTR. APIs available are cluster membership, application failover, checkpointing, eventing, distributed locking, messaging, closed process groups, and extended virtual synchrony passthrough. It is possible to write redundant applications that tolerate hardware, operating system, and application faults. Cluster software developers can write plugins to use the infrastructure provided by OpenAIS.

SDoP (Simple DocBook Processor) reads a DocBook
XML file, processes it into typeset pages, and
outputs the result as PostScript (which can easily
be converted to a PDF). It is "simple" because it
supports only a subset of DocBook, and also
because it does not make use of a DTD or
stylesheets or any other heavyweight apparatus. It
is a single program. SDoP is used to format the
Exim reference manual.

Newsbeuter is an RSS feed reader designed to be

This release fixes an issue where filter feeds wouldn't get reloaded. It fixes an issue with the parsing for RFC-822 dates whose year field consisted of only 2 digits. It adds the ability to directly open a feed link from the feed list.
